II escales, Guy Lavigueur captures the earth from above. These photographs are about beauty, the earths beauty, and the way forms and features, topography, and light interface. Whether the intervention of industry and the way landscapes are, or the way nature designs herself, all these photographs are witness to change. Ephemeral, these colour photographs contrast with imagery that is both stunning and expresses the world we live in.

Guy Lavigueur’s art is all about details. Each photographic element is part of a body, the earths body as seen from above. The markings, traces, shadows, undulations, curves, scars, all reveal earths history as a body where life’s cyclical evolution is always ongoing. Beauty is here, as if we were just visitors, looking in from outside at the planet. This visual journey, each photo, is a
stopover, a site marker in place. From afar, we recognize as part of a larger picture each photograph a stop frame image from the journey of life.
