VENTE de FEU sacré_événement spécial «après SINISTRE»

Enchanted FOREST is a unique exhibit where furniture becomes art. Unique prototypes of suprising engineering will shape the summer decor. Under the spell of enchantment, a stylish cherry wood console with « pied-de-biche » goes along with an oak chest with lifted-edge doors, which sits next to artist Marie-Claude Chanut’s latest pieces. The giant wooden and ceramic sculptures from Marie-France Bourbeau are alarming and reassuring at the same time. The series with steel handle and base (duo from Olivier Fortin/Florian Schneider) blend with the mare # 7 (France Pillière) standing still since the exhibit «Printemps en cavale» in front of Pierre Couture’s targets. The Jewel of this improvised bestiary, the cheetah “It runs forever”, evokes his speed and agility, work of Vladimir Mindek. Wise and practical, the desk in dark chestnut (Claude Emilie Pilon) is harmonized with the ink on canvas of Bruce Robert. Poetic constructions of Larry Simons, where the wear of time highlighting the perenniality of things and people, are confronted with the polished wood of a table of dark chestnut with oxidized coppered sheets (Gabrielle Ouellette). In the aft, a forest of old frames creates a contrast where chairs the seducing paintings of Lucie Chicoine, an invitation to a ravishing magical escape.

Following Enchanted FOREST, ARPI takes «La Rentrée» by storm (September 8th to September 11th) with SiMPLE; with bombed pieces, entertainment and installations.

Katherine-Josée Gervais confides us to Meubler le silence from September 14th to September 24th. For the second time Marie-Paule Chanut intruduces us «Owling» (the hibou’s act of position) September 30th, October 1st and 2nd.

Do not miss Ô secours! at 2 different locations; Marché Bonsecours and Point rouge Gallery, exposition from October 10th to October 15th, 2011.
